Kacentric Optics is developing next-generation photonics test and measurement equipment for industrial
and scientific applications. The instruments address applications in the wavelength range from 190 nm to 2600 nm.
Present focus is on absorption spectroscopy. They are designed for high-performance use in R&D laboratories, while enabling streamlined
integration and deployment in broader industrial environments through modern software interfaces and high-speed data transfer.
The company is backed by private investors and financing from Bpifrance. It was founded by Michiel van der Keur, a serial entrepreneur in the photonics industry with three decades of experience, including early work in optical transmission systems and founding Yenista Optics, which he built and scaled over more than a decade before it was acquired by EXFO.
The company will launch its first products by mid-2027.
